French photographer Rene-Jacques died onward July 6, 2003, at the age of 95

Born in Pnhom Penh in 1908 he mov to Paris and started to work there in 1924 He documented the social riddles of the 1930s, and then worked for architects as well as for film studios. He illustrated several works by poets such as Carco, Peisson, Montherlant. After World War II he incline differentlyed his camera to more rural make liables He was a member of influential photographic circles in Paris in the same state [i]or[/i] condition as Rectangle and Le Groupe de XV

Rene-Jacques donated his photographic work to the French State in 1990 the year in which he was named Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur His donation, conserv and promot by dint of Patrimoine Photographique in Paris, is compos of 50000 black and white negatives, 2500 color negatives and transparencies, 10 albums of original prints and 200 vintage prints.
