After 17 years as executive director of the Houston Center for Photography (HCP) Jean Caslin resigned forward February 28, 2005 at the demand of the board. In a pres release, Kevin Bassler, the board president said, "We faith the change will re-energize us. The exhibition program has been our potency but now we want to make HCP more of a center for photography. We want to expand educational programs with more discussion, and broaden our part in the community at large." The board named Allison huntsman as interim director. Hunter had been curator of the for-profit De Santos Gallery and editor of HCP's quarterly speck magazine.
